I want to share with you a great experience that I was a part of it on the last weekend.
This post is a continues post to the one I
published few weeks ago about the StartupWeekend Israel event.

We gathered up - a bunch of 56 amazing and talented people, each one with its own
professional skills (technologic developers, BizDevs, project managers, UI experts,
graphic designers and more...) for 56 hours of hard work, philosophies, work plan,
branding (marketing and advertising), programming developing and more. At the end
of this weekend we succeeded to raise a prototype version of the project to the air.

First of all, I want to mention my friend Erez Eden that was the
main engine behind the event, organized it in a perfect way - well done!

After voting for an idea from a pool of nice ideas that brought by some of the event
members, the majority votes were given to a website that has called in the end of
      the event TribiU.com.

I won't give a spare words about the website - you can watch it in here.
More details about the whole event, participants, work, idea and stuff you can check
      out in out community here.

So, some final words, I want to thank to all of the people that participated in this
event, it was a pleasure, great time and fun; and I hope that we could do some more
business together and don't forget the hard work has just began, we have to switch
a gear and continue working as much as we can...

I want to introduce you (if you not familiar with that) a term called: Startup
Weekend. This term is well known and take place every year in US and Europe.
Generally, this is an event that gathers around a bunch of 'people' that comes from
the hi-tech community: software developers, graphic designers, UI specialists, product
      managers and more and more....

There is one goal: sit around, think about an idea of a tech project (web site, desktop
application whatever...), design it properly - functionality and technologically and
finally develop it in order to create a great product at the end of the weekend.

Some more details: this event is being produced by Erez Eden and Dan Rimon and will
take place between 3 to 5 in April 2008 at Netwise offices.

So, if you're a software geek (like me ;)) and this idea interest you, you are welcome,
I'll going to be there, you can count on it... ;)

      More details at: startupweekendisrael.ning.com

      See you there...

      Hey all,

During the last couple weeks I started working on a new web 2.0 site
(simultaneously to my daily work) with partnership with 2 old collegues, which
are the head of the wonderful idea and the UI experts (in life and in this specific
website) and an art director, (I am responsible of course on the technologic
side of this site). Details regarding this site will be revealed in the future and
alpha invetations will be sent to our best friends (leave me a comment if you
want to be one of the alpha users)...

BTW - My collegues names are kept calssified by their request...

Now, to our post issue: Website Scalability.
Many stories had been published regarding great startup websites that suddenly
experienced success on the Internet and then had to re-design their application to
handle the growing traffic web requests.

In order to do it by the book, also in our web 2.0 site we want to prevent this scenario
and to handle the anormous web accesses to our site (I wish) and after some
searching the web, Erez send me a link regarding this issue; GigaSpaces published
a tool that come to help us regarding this issue by saying that "GigaSpaces
XAP allows developers to build applications that can quickly and easily scale-out
limitlessly across low-cost servers with few or no code changes."

I going to check out this tool and to make a use with it (if it's satisfactory like
      they are saying of course).
